Triumph T.R.2. Sports Circa 1953 This is a restored advertisement from June 1953 Here we have Triumph Advertisement for 1953. There were numerous adverts for Triumph during this period, all in a similar vein. I have spent some time trying to work out why the original designers of the TR2 posters wrote IT in large letters. I have been unable to find a definitive answer. I therefore have to conclude that 'it' is just a pronoun referring to the car and the giant capital letters are just a stylistic flourish to make the advertisement more attractive and eye-catching. Remember, the 50s were the days of black and white adverts! The majority of these images have benefitted from total restoration. Some have been re-typeset. Some have original photographs inserted, if available. Some have logos and badges added. Any badge, if photographed, is from my personal library. Any logo will have been re-drawn by me in Photoshop or Corel Painter. Some of these are totally original recovered from agency “mock-ups”. Therefore these should be viewed as pieces of artwork, rather than company history. Image size A3 **Digital Download Only No Physical Product will be dispatched.
