A line drawing of the Supermarine Spitfire as a detailed Blue-Print. The Spitfire is probably the most famous combat aircraft of all time. The extensive detailing on this picture is the result of using original photographs plus reference information, from 1938, supplied by my father. I have included lots of facts on this iconic WW2 fighter aircraft. This was first created by me, in pencil, on art paper, schoolboy doodles. Then, when I was given my first drawing board, I created an image similar to this, so that I could make scale models out of balsa wood, cover them in tissue paper and fly them in our local park. Latterly these drawings have provided the basis for digital images. They have been scanned by me and re-drawn in Photoshop giving clean equal lines. Please do not confuse my images with others on the internet where people have simply scanned RAF Blue-Prints and then sell them as original drawings. Detailed on the drawing are technical specifications of the Spitfire, together with a pastel drawing, (nose art). I have combined history, interesting facts, and logos from original documents. The logos have all been re-drawn and are not simply cut and pasted. This is a totally original creation by me, Charlie Poole. I really hope that you enjoy your new print, as much as I did creating it. A great talking point. For the sharp-eyed, I have spelt the word “Spitfire” in Morse code (bottom right side of picture). Image size A3 Not Framed or Mounted Supplied on a Satin Photographic paper, SRA3 = Size 330mm x 483mm. (Please refer to “The Technical Bit”) Print Ref:- AIR-0011
