Early B1's were finished in silver. XA 892 was scrapped in July 1971. It spent some of its life at the RAF School of Technical Training in Halton, Buckinghamshire where it was used for ground instruction and training. This photograph was taken by my father, Alfie, who travelled to Farnborough, on 4th September 1956. The Photograph was taken on a Leica 111b. In the background is a 1938 Triumph Dolomite 1.5 litre Sports Saloon Registration GUV997. In the passenger seat you can just see my Uncle. On the back seat is me and my mother.
