Ariel Poster – The Modern Motorcycle - Circa 1930 – Ariel Model F 500cc – Digital Download Only A3 Size This poster was in a really poor condition. The original poster size was 18” x 28”, a really odd size. The bottom portion was missing possibly holding important information or maybe a dealer stamp. Using Photoshop & Corel Painter I deconstructed the image and cleaned up the damage. I then constructed the image and put on new text, re-drawn by me and a new background. Then I resized to A3. There does not seem to be any identical adverts on the internet, so what was this poster used for? The image shows an Ariel Model F 500c.c. This is a lovely period print that will hopefully thrill the Ariel Enthusiast In the 1930s, women who rode motorcycles were seen as independent, adventurous, and breaking away from traditional gender roles. They embraced the freedom of the open road, challenging societal expectations and becoming pioneers in a male-dominated activity. Their riding attire, often featuring leather jackets and stylish helmets, reflected confidence and individuality. The rise of motorcycle clubs for women in the 1930s fostered a sense of community and camaraderie among these women. Some women became pioneers in the motorcycle world.
