A scale Blue-Print line drawing of the Avro Lancaster R5689 Art Print A3 This is a scale Blue Print outline drawing of an Avro Lancaster B.Mk1 RAF R5689 VN-N of No. 50 Squadron. The extensive detailing on this picture is the result of using original photographs plus reference information, from 1938, supplied by my father. I have included lots of facts on this iconic WW2 bomber aircraft. This was first created by me, in pencil, on art paper, schoolboy doodles. Then, when I was given my first drawing board, I created an image similar to this, so that I could make scale models out of balsa wood, and cover them in tissue paper. Sadly I never managed to make a successful flying model. Latterly these drawings have provided the basis for digital images. They have been scanned by me and re-drawn in Photoshop giving clean equal lines. Please do not confuse my images with others on the internet where people have simply scanned RAF Blue-Prints and then sell them as original drawings. Detailed on the drawing are technical specifications of the Lancaster, together with an outline drawing of the RAF wings. I have combined history, interesting facts and quotations from the period. This is a totally original creation by me, Charlie Poole©. I really hope that you enjoy your new print, as much as I did creating it. A great talking point.
